Midlands Province in Zimbabwe is a significant player in the mining sector, with a diverse range of mineral resources. The province is known for its deposits of aluminum, asbestos, calcium, chromium, cobalt, copper, gold, and nickel.  Notably, the Mimosa mine, one of the largest platinum reserves in Southern Africa, produces around 120,000 oz of platinum per year.
